Describe a time when you waited for someone.

You should say:

       whom you waited for

       where you were waiting

       what you did while waiting

and explain how you felt while waiting.

:I waited for my boyfriend last week in a shopping mall for like 2 hours. I tried to distract myself with my smartphone. I was really angry with him.

但我们的要求是“talk about the topic for one to two minutes”,负分滚粗!

Part II

Step 1

I must confess that waiting for someone for a long time is something I am never fond of, particularly if that person is supposed to arrive at a time that we both agreed upon.

Step 2

This topic reminds me of a miserable date with my friend Cliff, whom I first met at an alumni party. We soon started seeing each other. The first date went pretty well and we had a good time together but the second didn't work out that way. We planned to meet in a park. It suddenly began to rain and thunder when I arrived. I didn't bring an umbrella and had to hide somewhere.

Unfortunately, a small pavilion in the middle of the park was the only shelter I could find. I tried to call Cliff but his mobile was turned off. I had waited for more than two hours before Cliff finally showed up. He then apologized and explained that he was actually stopped by traffic congestion.

Step 3

I must admit that I was kind of upset but it just happened and he didn't mean to keep my heels cool. Next time when I have to wait for someone I'll just try to distract myself by reading a good book or listening to the music instead of fretting about everything.

Step 4

So you see when you have no choice but to wait, why not just find something else to do and stay calm. Maybe the guy you’re waiting for is making every attempt to come.
